Our canine patients admitted for systemic radiotherapy for thyroid carcinoma (with 131I) or unresectable bone tumor(s) (with 153Sm-EDTMP) are housed in a separate climate controlled area. The canine radiotherapy room contains two large adjacent runs. One of the runs is set up as a living and sleeping area. The adjoining run is set up as a bathroom, complete with artificial grass.
